Base Operating Services, Naval Station Ingleside, Texas

In 1991, we were awarded the base operating services contract for the brand-new Naval Station Ingleside. We are currently performing under our fourth straight contract there. Among other accomplishments, in 1997 the station was judged the most outstanding Navy facility in the world, an honor recognized by President Clinton and then, Texas Governor George Bush.

Ferguson-Williams provides labor, materials, supplies, and equipment for the operation and maintenance of the Station’s systems and facilities. Among the many services we provide are the following:

¨       Staff and operate a complete Port Operations section.

¨       Provide weapons support, which includes the safe, timely, and cost-effective receipt, segregation, storage, renovation/repackaging, and issue of conventional ammunition, weapons, torpedoes, missiles, and components to support fleet units and shore commands.

¨       Operate and maintain the Station’s 15-building, 444-room bachelor housing complex.

¨       Operate the Fleet and Family Support Center in downtown Ingleside, which is a human, social, and educational services agency that supports improving the quality of life in the naval community.

Operation and Maintenance of Government-Owned Facilities at the Marine Corps Logistics Base at Albany, GA

Ferguson-Williams furnishes all labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, facilities, transportation, incidental engineering, and other items necessary to provide maintenance and support services at Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB), Albany GA, combination firm-fixed price (FFP) and indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity (IDIQ) multi-trade construction contract.

Operation and Maintenance of the Stratford Army Engine Plant

Since January 2004, Ferguson-Williams has been providing labor, materials, supplies, and equipment to manage, operate, and repair facilities located at the Stratford Army Engine Plant in Stratford, Connecticut. The government seeks to maintain security at the facility, meet environmental protection concerns, and reduce operating costs at a facility that is in caretaker status and projected to undergo further operating reductions in the future. The goal of the contract is to transition facilities to an idle status, ensuring the Army, contractor, and tenant activities work closely and cooperatively to effect the transition smoothly and without service disruption.

Operation and Maintenance of the J. Strom Thurmond Project

Since May 2003, Ferguson-Williams has been providing labor, materials, supplies, and equipment to operate and maintain the J. Strom Thurmond Project, which consists of J. Strom Thurmond Lake, Dam, and Power Plant and the New Savannah Bluff Lock and Dam. Facilities include the Project Manager’s Office, 32 recreation areas, shoreline areas, waters of the reservoir, operational areas, forestry and wildlife lands, vehicles, vessels, and equipment. The lake, with 1200 miles of shoreline, is one of the largest inland bodies of water in the South and the largest Corps reservoir east of the Mississippi River. The contract entails complex scheduling of multiple crafts over 150,000 acres in 10 counties in Georgia and South Carolina.

Operation and Maintenance of Five Government-Owned Locks and Dams on the Red River Waterway

Since December 2003, Ferguson-Williams has been providing labor, equipment, materials, and supplies to operate and maintain Lindy Claiborne Boggs Lock and Dam, John H. Overton Lock and Dam, Lock and Dam No. 3, Lock and Dam No. 4, and Joe D. Waggonner Jr. Lock and Dam on the 240-mile long Red River Waterway in northwest and central Louisiana. We operate the lock chamber machinery to lock recreational and commercial vessels 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We operate the tainter gates of the dam to maintain and control the flow of the river to meet the required pool levels at each lock and dam also on a 24/7 schedule. We experience 8,425 lockages per year to accommodate 6.1 million tons of cargo.

Operation and Maintenance of Government-Owned Facilities and Equipment at Alabama River Lakes

Since June 2003, Ferguson-Williams has been providing labor, equipment, materials, and supplies to maintain government-owned facilities and equipment at the Alabama River Lakes, with 1,092 miles of shoreline. The contract entails complex scheduling of multiple crafts over 43,630 acres in southwest Alabama. Facilities include the Visitor Information Center, recreation areas, shoreline areas, waters of the reservoir, operational areas, forestry and wildlife lands, vehicles, vessels, and equipment.

Operation and Maintenance of Government-Owned Facilities and Equipment at Mississippi Delta

Ferguson-Williams provides all labor, equipment, fuel, supplies, transportation, supervision, and management to inspect, operate, maintain, repair, and rehabilitate flood control facilities and features managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers in a large section of the state of Mississippi. This project is a 24-hour, 7-days-per-week operation that includes emergency operations as they arise. The contract requires operating flood control gates, operating the automated weather support system to help control any flooding conditions that might arise, maintaining and calibrating marker gauges, and checking levels to see if water is reaching a flood condition stage.

Operation and Maintenance of Government-Owned Facilities and Equipment at Mississippi Lakes

Since September 2005, Ferguson-Williams has been providing all labor, equipment, fuel, supplies, transportation, and management to inspect, operate, maintain, repair, and rehabilitate project facilities and features managed by the Corps of Engineers at four flood control facilities in Mississippi. The company performs preventive or general maintenance on buildings and structures such as fences, plumbing and electrical facilities, flood control structures, signs, roads, surfaced areas, and buoys.

Ferguson-Williams provides labor, equipment, materials, and supplies to maintain government-owned facilities and equipment at Hartwell Lake, Dam, and Powerplant and the Clemson Pumping Station. Facilities include recreation areas, shoreline areas, waters of the reservoir, operational areas, forestry and wildlife lands, vehicles, vessels, and equipment. The lake has 962 miles of shoreline. The contract entails complex scheduling of multiple crafts over 76,450 acres.
